About Stop the Clock
Stop the Clock is a timing game about one thing: stopping on the exact moment. The dial is one 4-second lap. Tap to start the clock, then tap again when the hand is inside the zone. The closer you are to the middle, the better: PERFECT, GREAT or GOOD. Stop outside the zone, or let the hand run past it, and you lose a heart.
There are 60 levels in six worlds, and every world adds a new twist:
- Tick Tock Park: the classic stop.
- Clock Tower: the hand vanishes mid-lap, so you keep counting in your head.
- Hourglass Dunes: the clock runs backwards from 4.00.
- Cuckoo Forest: two zones in one lap, one tap for each.
- Gear Factory: the zone slides around the dial.
- Midnight Moon: the zone hides as soon as the clock starts.
Later levels mix the twists and even combine two at once, and the tenth level of every world is a five-round boss. Clear level 3 to open Endless: three hearts, a combo multiplier, and a heart back for three perfects in a row.
Coins from levels, Endless and 14 trophies buy 9 clock skins that dress up the dial and Tiko, your little clock buddy.
How to play
- Tap, click or press Space to start the clock.
- Watch the hand sweep around the dial and tap again when it is inside the zone. The label at the top gives the target, like STOP AT 2.25.
- The closer to the middle of the zone, the better: PERFECT, GREAT or GOOD.
- Stopping outside the zone, or letting the hand pass it, costs a heart. Lose all three and the level is over.
- Win every round of a level to clear it and earn up to three stars.
Controls
Tips & tricks
- Look at the zone, not the hand. Let the hand come to you and tap as it reaches the middle.
- Keep counting when the hand vanishes. In Clock Tower it fades away mid-lap, but it keeps the same speed.
- Countdown runs backwards from 4.00, so a low target comes late in the lap.
- Double stops are two taps in one lap. Land the first, then reset your eyes on zone 2.
- Remember where the zone is before you start in Midnight Moon: it hides as soon as the clock runs.
- In Endless, chain perfects. Three in a row give a heart back, and good streaks multiply your points.
