About Trap Castle
A small knight walks into a castle where nothing is what it looks like. The floor you trust collapses. The door you run to runs away. The treasure chest has teeth. In Trap Castle every room is a short puzzle with a trick in it, and your job is to spot the trick before it spots you.
The castle has four wings with eight rooms each: the Dungeon, the Armory, the Library of Illusions and the Throne Tower. Each wing adds new traps: pressure plates and levers, arrow launchers and cannons, living armour, flying books, mirrors that teleport you, and illusions that hide the real path. At the end of every wing waits a boss: the Jailer, the Iron Golem, the Grand Mimic and the Architect.
Dying is part of the fun. Your skull counter goes up, a little corpse stays behind to remind you where the trap was, and you are back at the start in under a second. Clear a room without a single death to win its crown.
Rooms take a minute or two, so Trap Castle fits a short break, and your progress saves automatically in your browser.
How to play
- Move with the arrow keys or A and D, and jump with Space, W or the up arrow.
- Reach the exit door on the other side of the room.
- Read the room first. Signs, cracks and odd-looking tiles are clues. Most traps are fair once you know them.
- If you die, the room restarts instantly. Your skull counter shows how many tries it took.
- Clear a room with zero deaths to earn its crown. Beat the boss to open the next wing.
Controls
Tips & tricks
- Walk before you run. Many traps trigger on the tile in front of you. Taking a moment to watch often saves a life.
- The obvious path is usually the trap. If a door looks too easy, it might run away.
- Corpses are clues. They stay where you died, so you always know where the last trap was.
- Timing beats speed against axes, arrows and crushers. Wait for the gap, then go.
- Bosses have patterns. Watch one full cycle before you attack.
