About MadDrive
MadDrive is a 2D physics driving game full of jumps, flips and crashes. You drive Dash, a young mechanic in goggles and a red scarf, in a rattling homemade buggy. Hold gas to drive and brake to slow down. In the air, gas tips the car back and brake tips it forward, so you can pull backflips and front flips. Every stunt pays coins and fills your nitro, and stunts chained together build a combo up to x5.
Your car is built from five parts: bumper, hood, door, spoiler and headlight. Crashes knock them off one by one. Lose them all and you are wrecked and go back to the last checkpoint. Checkpoints also repair a part.
The road crosses five worlds with nine stages each: the Junkyard (oil slicks, crusher presses and swinging crane magnets), the Desert Canyon (rope bridges, quicksand and rock slides), the Frozen Peaks (slippery ice, cracking ice plates, falling icicles and avalanches), the Volcano (lava pits, lava geysers, crumbling basalt pillars and falling rocks) and Neon City (rooftop gaps, laser gates and falling neon signs). Smash crates, barrels, cacti, snowmen and crystals for extra coins. Each stage has three stars: finish it, beat the target time and find the three golden spanners.
At the end of each world its Mad Driver waits for a 1v1 race. Big Bolt throws scrap tires and hubcaps, Sandra Sidewinder blinds you with sand, Granny Glacier throws snowballs and leaves ice patches, Doc Lava fires fireballs and Baron Von Nitro launches fireworks, then goes mad halfway through. Beat a rival and their car is yours: the Crane Truck, the Sidewinder, the Plow, the Lava Tank and the Rocket Limo. Each of the six cars drives differently, and the garage has five upgrades for each one: engine, grip, suspension, nitro and armor.
In Mad Run, the endless mode, the Baron's Mega Crusher monster truck chases you down a random road. Keep moving: if it catches you, you are crushed.
How to play
- Hold GAS to drive and BRAKE to slow down.
- In the air, GAS tips the car back and BRAKE tips it forward. Use them to flip, and to land on both wheels.
- Flips, big air, perfect landings, wheelies and smashes pay coins and fill your nitro. Hold the blue NITRO button for a speed boost.
- Crashes knock parts off your car. Lose all five and you are wrecked: you go back to the last checkpoint.
- Reach the finish flag. Beat the target time and collect the three golden spanners to earn all three stars.
- At the end of each world, beat the rival in a 1v1 race to win their car.
Controls
Tips & tricks
- Flip for nitro. Every flip fills the nitro bar, and double and triple flips fill it much more.
- Land on both wheels. A clean landing after a flip or a big jump adds a PERFECT LANDING bonus to your combo.
- Save nitro for big gaps. Hit nitro on the ramp before a wide gap so you clear it.
- Watch the warnings. Laser gates flicker before they switch on, and lava geysers rumble before they blow.
- Pick the right car. The Plow grips best on ice, the Lava Tank takes the most hits and the Rocket Limo has the longest nitro.
- Upgrade armor. From armor level 3, some hazard hits bounce off without costing a part.

How do I do a flip?

How do I unlock the next world?

What is Mad Run?
An endless mode on a random road in one of the five worlds. The Baron's Mega Crusher chases you and speeds up over time. Drive as far as you can.
Can I play MadDrive on my phone?
Yes. Turn your phone sideways: hold the right side for gas, the left side for brake and the blue button for nitro. It also works on Chromebooks, tablets and computers with the keyboard.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Your stars, coins, cars and upgrades are saved in your browser on this device.
