About Tap Burst
Tap Burst is a tapping race. You and a rival each have a pump and a balloon. Every tap pumps air into yours, and when the time is up the bigger balloon wins and the other one pops.
There are three worlds with six rivals each: the Balloon Carnival (5-second Sprints), the Seaside Pier (10-second Dashes) and the Thunder Stadium (30-second Marathons). Every rival taps at their own speed and in their own style. Shelby the Turtle is slow and steady, while bosses like Slick the Fox start lazy and then switch into Slick Mode. The boss waits at the top of each world.
Next to the races there is a Free Test: pick 5, 10 or 30 seconds and see how many taps per second you can do. You race a ghost of your own best, and your result earns a rank, from Slower than Shelby up to Faster than Lightning.
How to play
- Tap anywhere on the screen (or click) as fast as you can when the race starts.
- Every tap pumps air into your balloon. Your taps per second show at the top.
- When the clock hits zero, the bigger balloon wins and the other one pops.
- Climb the ladder from the first rival of each world to the boss at the top.
Each win gives up to three stars: win by 12% for two stars and by 25% for three.

Tips & tricks
- Use two thumbs. Every finger counts as its own tap, so drumming with two thumbs beats tapping with one.
- Go on "TAP!". The countdown tells you exactly when the race starts, and the first second counts.
- Don't relax when you're ahead. Some rivals start slow and speed up near the end.
- Practise in the Free Test. Racing your own ghost is the quickest way to get faster.
- On a computer, click as fast as you can. On a touchscreen Chromebook, use two fingers.
