About Toy Rush
Toy Rush is a 2D physics driving game where the cars are toys and the house is huge. You drive Pip in Zippy, a little wind-up car with a turning key on its back. Hold gas to drive and brake to slow down. In the air, gas tips the car back and brake tips it forward, so you can pull backflips and front flips. Every stunt pays coins and fills your nitro, and stunts chained together build a combo up to x5. Hit a booster and your car rides a full loop-the-loop.
Your car is built from five parts: bumper, door, spoiler, headlight and roof. Crashes knock them off one by one. Lose them all and you are wrecked and go back to the last checkpoint. Checkpoints also repair a part.
The track runs through five rooms with nine stages each: the Bedroom (marbles, toy hammer benches, a claw crane and a ball pit), the Kitchen (cracker bridges on licorice ropes, sticky honey, rolling fruit and the sink), the Bathroom (slippery soap suds, soap bars, falling water drops, a bath-foam wave and the bathtub), the Garden (garden sprinklers, flower-pot columns, falling acorns and the pond) and the Garage (battery spark gates, toppling rulers, toy tanks, fire trucks and motor oil). Smash building blocks, crayons, sugar cubes, cups, sponges, sandcastles and toy soldiers for extra coins. Each stage has three stars: finish it, beat the target time and find the three golden batteries.
At the end of each room a toy boss waits for a 1v1 race. Teddy throws blocks, Clank throws flour, Captain Duck blows bubbles, Chomp the dinosaur kicks up sand and Sarge fires darts. Beat a boss and their car is yours: the Block Truck, the Tin Racer, the Duck Boat, the Sandbox Dumper and Rex. Each of the six cars drives differently, and the garage has five upgrades for each one: spring, tires, suspension, turbo and armor.
In the Vacuum Run, the endless mode, a vacuum cleaner chases you down a random track. Keep moving: if it catches you, you are vacuumed up.
How to play
- Hold GAS to drive and BRAKE to slow down.
- In the air, GAS tips the car back and BRAKE tips it forward. Use them to flip, and to land on both wheels.
- Flips, big air, perfect landings, wheelies and smashes pay coins and fill your nitro. Hold the blue NITRO button for a speed boost.
- Drive over a booster and your car rides the loop-the-loop on its own.
- Crashes knock parts off your car. Lose all five and you are wrecked: you go back to the last checkpoint.
- Reach the finish. Beat the target time and collect the three golden batteries to earn all three stars.
- At the end of each room, beat the toy boss in a 1v1 race to win their car.
Controls
Tips & tricks
- Flip for nitro. Every flip fills the nitro bar, and double and triple flips fill it much more.
- Land on both wheels. A clean landing after a flip or a big jump adds a PERFECT LANDING bonus to your combo.
- Save nitro for big gaps. Hit nitro on the ramp before a wide gap so you clear it.
- Watch the warnings. Spark gates and sprinklers give a short warning before they fire.
- Pick the right car. The Tin Racer is the easiest to steer in the air, the Duck Boat grips best on soap, the Sandbox Dumper takes the most hits and Rex has the longest nitro.
