A finished game, ready to make your own
One Tap Hero is a complete, polished mobile game: the hero runs around a circular arena on their own, and one tap makes them jump. Dodge the boss's attacks, grab pickups to charge a power move, then launch from a golden pad to strike the boss. Play the demo on this page: what you play is exactly what you get.
- 5 bosses with their own arena, attacks, phases, voice and music: Inferno King, Tide Oracle, Thorn Colossus, Storm Roc and Void Warden.
- 4 heroes, each with one rule-changing ability (heavy strike, double jump, shield, magnet) and their own power move.
- 3 modes: Classic, Blitz and One Heart, with stars, unlocks and best times saved on the device.
- Juicy feel: slow motion on big moments, screen shake, particles, comic banners, first-time tips from the hero.
- A title screen that plays itself: real fights played by the built-in autopilot, filmed with a cinematic camera.
Built to be reskinned
The characters are cutout puppets: each one is a single sheet of body parts, animated in code. Swap the sheet, run one command, and your new character moves with every animation. The download includes the original art files and the exact prompts used to make them, so you can create a matching new cast. Names, texts, colors, sounds, music and difficulty are all in plain data files, and the reskin guide walks through each of them.
Clean, no lock-in
Plain TypeScript and HTML5 canvas, no game engine. One project builds the web version and the Android app (Capacitor). No analytics, ads or tracking are included: the game calls empty hooks at every key moment (level start and end, achievements, the best moment to ask for a review), and a guide shows how to connect Firebase, a review prompt or AdMob.
Art and sound
The art was made for this game with AI image generation (the prompts are included), then cut into parts and rigged for animation. The 165 sound effects are CC0 (Kenney and OpenGameArt) and the fonts are under the Open Font License, so everything can ship in a commercial game. The music is generated in code.

Questions
Do I need a game engine or paid tools?
No. You need Node.js, and Android Studio for the Android app. Both are free.
Can I publish it on iOS?
The game runs in Capacitor, which also supports iOS (npx cap add ios, on a Mac with Xcode). The download includes the Android project only, and we haven't tested an iOS build.
Does it include ads or analytics?
No, the game ships clean. It calls empty hooks at the right moments, and the guide shows how to add Firebase Analytics, a review prompt or AdMob.
Which license do I need?
Regular to publish one game of your own. Extended for several games or for client work. Resale to resell the source code itself.
Is the art original?
Yes, it was made for this game with AI image generation, then cut into parts and rigged. The prompts are included so you can make new art in the same style.
Do I get updates?
Yes, free. Download the latest version from your account at any time.
