Power-ups are most useful when they solve a specific route problem. In Spider Maze, the three key tools—Freeze, Cut, and Undo—change time, the web, or your last decision.

Freeze: buy time
Freeze temporarily stops the spider, giving the firefly room to cross a dangerous section or restore a safe lead. Use it when the route is already correct but the timing is too tight. Freezing without a plan wastes the pause, so choose your next nodes first.
Cut: change the web
Cut removes a strand. It can break a threatening connection or reshape the maze so the spider cannot use the same approach. Check the whole web before cutting: a strand may also be part of your own path toward the exit.
Undo: correct the last move
Undo reverses your previous move. It is ideal after entering a dead end, stepping onto the wrong branch, or discovering that a collectible route is unsafe. Use it as soon as the mistake becomes clear instead of adding more moves to a failing path.
Which power-up should you choose?
| Problem | Best first choice |
|---|---|
| The route works, but the spider arrives too quickly | Freeze |
| A strand gives the spider a dangerous connection | Cut |
| Your last tap entered the wrong branch | Undo |
A simple rule for smart use
First identify why the escape fails. If the problem is time, Freeze. If it is the web’s shape, Cut. If it is your last decision, Undo. That one question prevents panic taps and makes each tool more valuable.
Combine these tools with the route-planning habits in our Spider Maze strategy guide.
